Yamazaki Mizunara Edition 2022 is a highly collectible single malt whiskey which has been aged Twelve Years and is matured in Mizunara oak to honor the Suntory Whisky's centenary. It really showcases the Mizunara Casks which is said to "enhance" the single malt whisky with its distinctive Japanese character. The nose on this one is bold and spicy, with the profound essence of Mizunara Casks. On the palate, you'll notice subtle hints of custard cream biscuits, and caramel. The finish is mellow with slight hints of incense and oak throughout the back end of the palate. 

Yamazaki Puncheon Edition 2022 is a highly collectible single malt whiskey which has been aged Ten Years and is matured in American oak Puncheon. It really show cases the American Oak Casks which is said to "enhance" the single malt whisky with its distinctive Japanese character. The nose on this one fruity and fragrant with bursts of ripe peach, mingled with vanilla. The palate, is refreshing and velvety with mild notes of caramelized butterscotch. The finish is warms and sweet with profound notes of vanilla, and a pleasant earthy flavor. 

Yamazaki Spanish Oak Edition 2022 is a highly collectible single malt whiskey which has been aged Ten Years and is matured in American oak Puncheon. It really showcases the American Oak Casks which is said to "enhance" the single malt whisky with its distinctive Japanese character. On the nose you'll notice aromas of dried raisins and prunes. The palate has subtle notes of toffee, and sundried tomatoes which impart subtle acidity. The finish is creamy and buttery with a slight hint of acidity.

Yamazaki Peated Malt Edition 2022 is a highly collectible single malt whiskey which has been crafted from a selection of carefully peated malts. It really showcases the smokiness which is said to "enhance" the single malt whisky with its distinctive flavor. On the nose you'll notice profound smokiness and charred oak, mingled with herbaceous notes. The palate is earthy with tropical notes of pineapple and citrus. The finish is complex with lingering notes of peat.

History
Yamazaki Mizunara Edition 2022, Puncheon, Spanish Oak & Peated Malt Bundle is a limited edition single malt whisky which produced only 1,000 bottles at the Yamazaki Distillery in Japan. It is part of the 2022 Yamazaki Cask Series. Yamazaki Mizunara single malt was matured in Japanese Mizunara oak. The Yamazaki Distillery was established in 1923 as the first commercial whisky distillery. It is owned by Suntory whose founder Shinjiro Torii was inspired by Scottish whisky and set out to create his own Japanese inspired in different terrain and climate conditions. Suntory is now a world famous brand which is known for producing quality, technique, and sophistication. Yamazaki Distillery is located at the cross boundary of the Yi-Lan mountains, which overlook the Pacific Ocean. This Limited Edition, with beautiful packaging, was released only for Duty Free.
