History
Xicaru Añejo Mezcal is a unique tequila crafted with tradition in mind. This spirirt is named Xicaru, which is the Zapotec word for beautiful. It was created with heritage and tradition in mind to commemorate Fernando Santibañez’s grandmother whos recipe the used to reproduce this fine spirit. It is crafted in small batches in Matatlán, Oaxaca. It is produced from hand picked 100% Blue agave which is grown in Mexico. After, the pineapples which is the heart of the plant is cooked in a Conical oven and then double distilled, before it is matured twelve months in American Oak Barrels.
