WhistlePig The Boss Hog Edition 2 is known as Edition Number 2 in "The Boss Hog Series" of Whiskeys produced in Vermont to commemorate the Harvest of the Whistle pig. This Special Edition Whisky is produced with a mash bill of corn malted barely and extra rye to impart a spicier tone all through out the whiskey. This limited edition whisky is spicey and bold with dominant notes of black peppercorn, anise, and tobacco spice. The palate is rich and complex with sweet notes of toffee, raisins, vanilla and oak. The finish is sweet with subtle hints of caramelized dried fruit, butterscotch, and maple.

History
WhistlePig The Boss Hog Edition 2 is one the rarest Whistle pigs released worthy of any whiskey collector or connoisseur. It is known as “The Spirit of Mortimer", named to commemorate Mortimer WhistlePig. He was the mascot  pig "Kune Kune" It was produced in Shoreham, Vermont at a 500 acre farm which is not opened to the public. Whistlepig has continued to grow in popularity due to its longer aging process and premium packaging. This old whisky is Hand Bottled in Vermont, and topped with stopper of a flying pig chiseled by hand by Danforth Pewter Works.
