Equiano Original Rum is named after Olaudah Equiano, a courageous abolitionist and writer from the 18th century. The rum is produced by the Equiano Rum Company, which blends rums from two different regions: Barbados, known for its rum-making heritage, and Mauritius, bringing unique tropical characteristics to the blend. Aged in oak casks, this rum represents the company’s commitment to quality, innovation, and social responsibility, with part of the proceeds going to support initiatives in the Caribbean and Africa.
