Taste
Elmer T. Lee Bourbon is a limited edition bourbon, named after Master Distiller Elmer T. Lee at the award-winning Distillery, Buffalo Trace. This splendid and smooth bourbon was crafted to commemorate Elmer T. Lee. It is produced from Mash Bill #2, like other great spirits such as Blanton's, William Larue, and Pappy Van Winkle. This sour mash bill consists of corn, malted barley, and extra rye. The bourbon is soft and mellow, showcasing distinctive notes of oak and tannins, mingled with the essence of burnt sugar, caramel, and bursts of tropical fruits. The finish is long and sweet, featuring faint notes of honey, vanilla, and light spice, making it a truly memorable sipping experience.

History
Elmer T. Lee Bourbon is a unique spirit that is produced as a commemorative bottling honoring Elmer T. Lee. It is crafted at Buffalo Trace Distillery, a historic establishment founded in 1775, which has undergone several name changes throughout its storied history, including the George T. Stagg Distillery and the Old Fashioned Copper Distillery. Previously owned by the Sazerac Company, it is now recognized as the famous Buffalo Trace Distillery, renowned for being the most award-winning distillery with multiple accolades, including seven "Distillery of the Year" recognitions. This family-owned distillery is situated in Franklin County, Kentucky, encompassing over 130 acres of operational grandeur. It has been home to legendary Master Distillers, such as Albert B. Blanton and E.H. Taylor, who have contributed to its esteemed reputation. The exquisite bourbon itself is crafted using Mash Bill #1, a blend of the finest corn, rye, and malted barley, aged in new oak barrels to perfection. It consistently garners high praise for its rich flavor and remarkable value. Notably, proceeds from this limited edition bottling support the Frankfort VFW Post 4075, reflecting Lee's dedication to his community until his passing in 2013. 5 Stars - Highest Recommendation.
