History
Bumbu XO Rum is crafted based on the "original recipe" created in the 16th and 17th century by sailors of the West Indies. This exquisite rum is blended and distilled in Barbados, using sugar cane sourced from the Caribbean and South America. The distillery employs a unique yeast strain dating back to 1840 during fermentation and utilizes continuous column stills for distillation, ensuring a smooth, rich, and complex flavor profile. Aged up to 18 years in bourbon barrels, the rums are then blended with natural flavors before bottling. Bumbu is a small-batch, limited production rum, and we have been fortunate to experience more demand than supply since its initial release. Among its early supporters was the musician Lil Wayne, who was one of the first to recognize the quality and distinctiveness of Bumbu XO Rum.
