Taste
Elmer T. Lee '100 Year Tribute' Bourbon is a limited edition bourbon, named after Master Distiller Elmer T. Lee at the award-winning Distillery, Buffalo Trace. This rich and complex bourbon was crafted to commemorate the 100th-year tribute. It is produced from Mash Bill #2, like other great spirits such as Blanton's, William Larue, and Pappy Van Winkle. It is produced with a sour mash of corn, malted barley, and extra rye. This bourbon is soft and mellow with the dominant aromas of vanilla. On the palate, you'll indulge in rich notes of caramel, mingled with honey, and slight hints of butter. The finish is long, warm, and lingering.

History
Elmer T. Lee '100 Year Tribute' Bourbon is a unique spirit, that is produced as a commemorative bottling honoring what would have been the 100th birthday of Elmer T. Lee. It is produced at Buffalo Trace Distillery. It was founded in 1775 and has had several names since then including the George T. Stagg Distillery and the Old Fashioned Copper Distillery. Previously owned by the Sazerac company, but now known as The famous Buffalo Trace Distillery. It is the most award-winning distillery in America and has won several awards, including not one, but seven "Distillery of the Year" recognitions. Buffalo Trace Distillery is still family-owned and located in Franklin County, Kentucky, with over 130 acres of architecture, all still operational. This once use to be the home for the world's most exclusive Master Distillers such as Albert B. Blanton, E.H. Taylor, Elmer T. Lee, George T. Stagg, and Orville Schupp. This exquisite bourbon is made with Mash Bill #1 which is produced from the finest corn, rye, and malted barley, and then aged in new oak barrels until the peak of maturity. It is consistently rated among the best bourbons in the world due to its rich taste, and great value. Proceeds from this limited edition bottling will go to the Frankfort VFW Post 4075 where Lee was a member until he died in 2013.
