History
Dorothy Arzner Straight Rye Whiskey is produced In honor of Dorothy Arzner, who made history when she became the first woman to direct a sound film. This free-spirited and independent woman, GWS has crafted a 3-year-old straight rye whiskey. 'Grain to glass' in Sonoma County, this straight rye whiskey was aged for three years in 53 gallon new char oak barrels. The mash bill is “high rye” meaning that it has a higher than average rye percentage which results in a final spirit that is bold, spicy and robust in flavor. The whiskey is distilled twice on a hybrid still before being aged in an un-insulated warehouse to allow for more natural aging conditions. Non-chill filtered, proofed with pristine Napa Valley spring water.
