Heidsieck & Co. Monopole Champagne Brut Blue Top is a respected champagne house with 18th-century heritage, known for its commitment to quality and craftsmanship. It is refreshing with a profound aroma of minerals on the nose. The palate features prominent notes of caramelized fruits like peach, with slight hints of honey. The finish is warming and sweet with emerging notes of cherry, plums, and then oranges.
History
Heidsieck & Co. Monopole Champagne Brut Blue Top has a rich history and has endured successful periods and challenges. Its Champagne continues to represent the pinnacle of traditional winemaking and modern sophistication. It is their most popular Champagne. It is one of the oldest Champagne firms in all of France's Champagne region. The origins go back to the 18th century. In 1818, Heidsieck was appointed suppliers of Champagne to the king of Prussia, emperor of Germany; in 1911, it was appointed suppliers of Champagne to the English court. In 1933, Heidsieck Champagne was featured at the Swedish court and at the table of Cesar Nicolas II. This vintage is balanced, pleasant, ‘approachable’, so to speak. Apart from being particularly good as an aperitif, it can also be served with shellfish and Asian cuisine.
