Loch & Union Barley Gin is a magnificent spirit that celebrates the whimsy of barley and botanicals. Originating from the meticulous efforts of two long-time friends, this gin is born from a mash of 100% malted barley, distilled in a manner akin to the crafting of Single Malt Whiskey. This particular approach sets a unique foundation for the gin, diverging from the use of neutral spirits often seen in gin production. With its inception rooted in the quest for higher education, the story of Loch & Union began when Colin Baker pursued his Master's Degree in Brewing & Distilling at Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh, Scotland. This journey of academic and practical exploration paved the way for a gin that challenges conventional tastes. Napa is an upstart distillery that has begun making gin while they wait for their malt whiskey to mature. Founded by two long-time friends who spent almost three years planning every detail of their operation, Loch & Union is a small brand poised for big things! This gin is distilled from 100% malted barley and has a soft grain quality and a strong botanical mix anchored by Juniper and coriander, you’ll find a hint of zest from start to finish.
