Nuestra Soledad La Compañía Ejutla Mezcal is a symbol of Mexican excellence. The nose on this one is bright and aromatic with herbaceous notes of white flowers, cilantro and mint. The palate is rich, savory and viscous with undertones of roasted chiles and minerals. The finish is lengthy with a faint hint of charred wood.

History
Nuestra Soledad La Compañía Ejutla Mezcal is light bodied, and fruity in character, it is packaged in a beautiful and unique bottle. It is crafted with the perfect balance of tradition and innovation. La Compañía is a small village in the district of Ejutla, southwest of the capital Oaxaca de Juárez, in the Valles Centrales Region. Los Bigotones is the collective name of two small palenques owned and operated by the Hernandez brothers, or “Los Bigotones” (the big mustaches). Their properties are situated on a hilly plateau at an elevation of 5,000 feet above sea level. The steep slopes favor only hearty agaves and the struggle to survive in this harsh growing environment comes through in the complexity of their mezcal. The Hernandez brothers, with their big personalities and large mustaches, have a unique method of distillation which utilizes a single, extended distillation in a modified pot still (called refrescador) which contributes to the unique, bold favor profile of our mezcal Ejutla.
