Aberfeldy 16 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky has dominant fruity aromas mingled with hints of smoke.  On the palate, you'll find faint notes of butterscotch and apple. The finish is sweet with notes of caramel. 

History
Aberfeldy 16 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky was first released in 2015 as part of the Lasts Great Malts Series.  Aberfeldy is crafted from the water sourced from the Pitilie Burn, famed for its gold deposits.  It is made exclusively from barley that is milled through the distillery's Porteous mill before being mashed and then fermented in stainless steel wash backs. After the whisky is fermented it is distilled once through Aberfeldy's copper-pot wash stills and then once more through its copper-pot spirit. It then spends 16 years maturing in handmade oak casks and is finished in first-fill Oloroso sherry casks.
