Taste
Blanton's La Maison du Whisky 2021 (Blue 100) was created for connoisseurs who appreciate exceptional bourbon whiskey. This bourbon is produced with Mash Bill #2, a sour mash of corn, rye, and malted barley before being matured in American White Oak casks. The nose is a fruity bouquet with a dominant note of cooked apple and wood fruits. On the mid-palate, slight hints of sweet vanilla, with notes of grain, spicy cinnamon, and bright notes of citrus peel mingled with prominent wood, cedar, and pine sap. The finish is spiced with a ground white pepper that holds together nicely.

Blanton's La Maison du Whisky 2021 (Red 112) was crafted for connoisseurs who appreciate exceptional smoothness. This bourbon is produced with Mash Bill #2 a sour mash of corn, malted barley, and extra rye, before maturing in American White Oak casks. The nose is earthy with aromas of wood and caramel, mingled with fruits and light bursts of heat. The mid-palate is grainy with hints of rye, malted barley, and corn, layered with citrus peel and slight floral hints. The finish is herbaceous and unfolds into bold notes of oak, cedar, pine, and pepper.

Blanton's La Maison du Whisky 2021 (Green 130) was created for connoisseurs who appreciate exceptional smoothness in their bourbon whiskey. This bourbon is produced with Mash Bill #2 which is made with a sour mash of corn, malted barley, and extra rye before maturing in American White Oak casks. The nose on this one is like no other with dominant notes of spice and wood at the beginning. On the mid-palate, slight hints of sweet vanilla, with notes of rye, malted barley, and maize, spicy cinnamon, and bright notes of citrus peel. The finish is spicy and lingering with notes of oak and slight tobacco.

History
Blanton's La Maison du Whisky 2021 Lineup is part of a limited edition series with fewer than 300 bottles available worldwide. 72% of the 2021 Blanton’s La Maison du Whisky release was damaged, therefore Paris Conquete and France Conquete edition single-barrels are some of the rarest and most limited whiskeys to be produced by the distillery. Bottled at 100 proof and selected from barrel 328, is best known as "liquid gold"! This is one from a vast series of Bourbon that began production in 1984 under the guidance of Elmer T. Lee, Master distiller at the George T. Stagg Distillery, now known as the famous Buffalo Trace Distillery. There he worked with Colonel Albert Bacon Blanton, the President of the Distillery from 1921-1951. During the time he worked for him, he noticed that whenever there were ambassadors, dignitaries, and Colonel Blanton's family and friends, he would always choose a bottle aged at warehouse H at Buffalo Trace. Which is the only metal-clad warehouse at the distillery, built shortly after prohibition. Being metal meant it created a lot of temperature fluctuation because the metal doesn't insulate and would change how the whisky aged. They are aged 6-8 years and have a higher rye content. Blanton's is all about quality and only produces a limited amount, which is what makes them so hard to obtain. In 1999, there were eight different horse stoppers added to the bottles of Blanton's. Each stopper has a letter circled on the lower left side to spell out “B-L-A-N-T-O-N'-S.” After, lined up the stoppers display different positions of a horse race. They are visible upon purchase, even though some letters are hard to find. Blanton assures fans that it produces the same number of each, every year. Blanton's found overseas will be 700 ml, while domestic releases are 750 ml.
