History
Yellow Spot Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey 12 Yr is a unique spirit that has been matured for twelve years, in a variation of casks. It is produced in American bourbon barrels, Spanish Malaga casks, and Spanish sherry butts. Yellow Spot 12 Year Irish Whiskey find their roots in Mitchell & Son, one of Ireland’s last remaining Wine Merchants, and Whiskey Bonders. The name was derived from their practice of marking the maturing casks of whiskey with a mark or daub of colored paint to determine the age potential of the whiskey.
