The palate is a tapestry of figs, plums, raisins, molasses, dark chocolate, toasted almonds, tobacco, and peppery rye spice, with undertones of cherry skins, caramel, vanilla pudding, toasted coconut, and tea-like tannins. Blood Oath Pact No. 9 is the ninth installment in the limited-release Blood Oath series, blending three rye-forward bourbons aged 16, 12, and 7 years, with the youngest finished in Spanish Oloroso Sherry casks. Bottled at 98.6 proof and capped at around 51,000 bottles (with 1,400 reserved for the trilogy pack), this expression showcases Master Distiller John Rempe's skill at marrying mature bourbon stocks with European barrel finishes to create a complex, collectible release.
