Evan Williams Black Label Bourbon & 100 Proof Bottled In Bond Bundle

$34.99

Evan Williams opened Kentucky’s first distillery along the banks of the Ohio River in 1783. From the multitude of bourbons, flavored whiskeys, and liqueurs comes this bundle of two of the premier bourbons, both of which are smooth, rich and easy to enjoy. Evan Williams Black is full of character and “simply done right.” It’s smooth and easy to drink. Although purists say the only way to drink bourbon is neat or on the rocks, Evan Williams Black Label lends itself to any number of lavish cocktails. Evan Williams 100 Proof Bottled in Bond, otherwise referred to as Evan Williams White label, is aged under the government supervision and meets the exact requirements for a Bottle-In-Bond Bourbon, It has all the kick you’d expect, but it still goes down smooth.

Evan Williams Black Label Bourbon

Made with a mash bill of 75% corn, 13% rye and 12% barley, Evan Williams Black Bourbon is America’s 2nd best-selling bourbon. Overstretched stocks struggling to satisfy that demand led to this bourbon’s previous 7-year-old age statement being dropped. We understand it is now between 5 and 7 years old.

Nose: Vanilla and apples with a little ginger and allspice.

Taste: Vanilla, apples and peppery spices – ginger and black pepper, with a little oak. When tasted with a dried cranberry it takes the fruit notes out of the Bourbon and increases the spice with some old leather or tobacco notes coming out. When tasted with the pecan, a very creamy vanilla comes forward with the spice and oak.

Finish: Very long and dry with oak tempered by some lemon zest. The cranberry takes the lemon zest out of the finish but increases the oak and peppery spices. The pecan increases the lemon zest with the oak and spices.
