Love the chance to purchase some harder to find bottles in my area for a decent price and they were shipped to my door

Great Product, Weird Shipping and Delivery

The item was excellent. Love Blanton’s, no complaints. The order showed up well-packaged, but one bottle had a broken seal and had leaked upon opening. Here’s my complaint: I asked BottleBuzz before purchasing if the extra $110 for shipping protection was necessary, because it’s redundant and difficult to believe the company wouldn’t cover costs if I never received my package or something was shattered. They told me I needed to purchase it to be protected. So I did. I usually don’t complain about minor damages, but I just spent $1000 on bourbon and they essentially cornered me into ANOTHER $110 just in case something happened with shipping. When I complained about the container not being sealed, which both risks flavor and safety from tampering, I was offered a $15 coupon. That’s the shipping protection I was forced to buy? They then offered for me to have the one bottle replaced. I accepted the offer. I have not heard back from them regarding shipping instructions, means or methods, anything. I wouldn’t buy from these guys again by principle. Your shipping is your problem, with shipping insurance or not. And that’s a high-stakes gamble when you’re spending thousands of dollars for good quality liquors.
