History
Nikka Single Malt Yoichi is produced at the Yoichi distillery, located on the island of Hokkaido in Japan. Founded by Masataka Taketsuru, a Japanese man who studied whisky-making in Scotland, the Yoichi distillery has been crafting whisky since 1934. Known for its bold, smoky style, Yoichi has become one of Japan’s most celebrated distilleries, producing single malts that stand out for their complexity and flavor.
