Taste
St. George Spirits Bruto Americano is made from a variety of herbs, roots, and other botanicals. Though the exact number of ingredients and formulation are proprietary, we will say that the bitterness comes primarily from gentian root; the citrus notes mostly from California-grown Seville orange; and the woodsy notes from balsam fir and Cascara sagrada (bark from the California buckthorn.

History
St. George Spirits Bruto Americano was founded in 1982, as a distillery  with a unique operation that makes a range of craft spirits. It is a 65,000-square-foot hangar with a spectacular tasting room, laboratory, and a lineup of copper stills. They grew for over 37 years with consistency hiring one person at a time, and adding one copper still at a time. This success is due to their belief to make the best spirits they can. The craft distillation movement has grown with us over the years, and we’ve been joined by hundreds of new distilleries across the country. As the landscape has changed, there’s been a lot of talk about established spirits brands vs. newcomers. Big brands vs. small brands. We’re passionate about distillation in all its forms, but we don’t release a spirit unless we feel we have something new and valid to contribute to the conversation. We want to be able to pick our spirits out of a lineup on smell and taste alone because they’re exceptional. We pledge to craft quintessential spirits to delight hedonists and genius bartenders alike—and when you taste our spirits, we hope that the character and quality of what’s in your glass will convey to you what we’re all about. With Terroir Gin, we try to take you there with Douglas fir, California bay laurel, coastal sage, and other evocative botanicals. For some, the Douglas fir in this gin immediately triggers an association with Christmas—but for us it’s a gin for all seasons. At the height of summer, try Terroir with fresh huckleberries, blueberries, or raspberries for an earthy, brambly delight.

Please drink responsibly, you must be at least 21 years of age to drink alcoholic beverages.
