WhistlePig The Boss Hog Edition 6 "Katakana" is known as Edition Number 6 in "The Boss Hog Series" of Whiskeys produced in Vermont to commemorate the Harvest of the Whistle pig. This Special Edition Whisky is produced with a mash bill of corn malted barely and extra rye to impart a spicier tone all through out the whiskey.  Whistlepig is aromatic with aromas of roasted marshmallows, cinnamon, and maple. The palate has essence of tobacco, and savory umami. The finish is sweet, and elegant with a mosaic flavor.

History
WhistlePig The Boss Hog Edition 6 "Katakana" is the six edition of the highly sought after "Whistlepig Series". It is a limited edition rye, only 1000 were made. It was produced in Shoreham, Vermont at a 500 acre farm which is not opened to the public. Whistlepig has continued to grow in popularity due to its longer aging process and premium packaging. This old whisky is Hand Bottled in Vermont, and topped with a collectible stopper of a chiseled pig handcrafted by Danforth Pewter Works.
